Hi, I'm Dr. Ashleigh Patrick

Understanding my background before reaching out is probably important to you… And it’s important to me, too.

Here’s a brief summary of who I am:

I have always been passionate about health and wellness and have known since high school that my purpose in life is to help guide others to find their ultimate health.

With this purpose in mind, I set my sights on becoming an osteopathic physician who specializes in family medicine.

Despite all of my initial medical training in medicine, I knew I needed to learn more. I knew that for both myself and my patients, our modern "western" medicine wasn't enough. Our current medical system is amazing at treating acute illness, such as injuries, infections, and other emergencies. However, it is lacking when it comes to treatment of chronic diseases, including obesity, mental health, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, etc. This need to be better equipped to care for my patients led me to complete my fellowship in Integrative Medicine. Through this fellowship, I was able to learn about the vast treatment tools available to help people maximize their health - from supplement therapy, to manual therapies, to mind-body techniques, to specific dietary and exercise interventions. With this training, I am able to fully practice what is called integrative medicine - utilizing the tools from both traditional and modern medicine, the best of both worlds!

After completing my fellowship, I continued working at Saint Anthony's North Family Medicine Clinic in Thornton providing primary family medicine care. During this time, I also discovered the practice of self coaching, which at its core, is understanding how to work with your brain to start getting you the results you want in your life. This is the piece that takes you from understanding the steps that it takes to improve your health, to actually doing them on a regular, consistent basis.

Despite enjoying my work, patients and colleagues, I felt a call to be closer to family while raising my young family. Thus, I made the decision to return to my hometown of Pueblo, Colorado. During this transition, I felt it was the right time to truly dive in to all things that I love about health and wellness, and thus Integrative Medicine of Pueblo was born.
